My Story
As a survivor of childhood trauma, I’ve had my own experiences with crippling anxiety and depression. For years I mistakenly blamed myself for my inability to form healthy relationships and reach goals. I had no idea how trauma had hijacked my body, mind and spirit and was taking me for a ride that left me feeling shameful and alone. I tried many avenues of healing that offered me little hope and less actual progress. Eventually, I decided to educate myself on all things related to mindful awareness, trauma recovery and overcoming unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving. I have spent years researching the intricate maze of mental health modalities determined to emerge from my pain and isolation stronger, wiser and more empowered than ever before. I have learned to use proven techniques and actionable strategies that that have propelled me toward a brighter future. The results have been phenomenal! I have overcome symptoms of PTSD and reached a level of emotional wellness I could never have dreamed of. Using transformational skills and practices that integrate ancient wisdom and neuroscience, I have created a life of authenticity, possibility, abundance. Today, I am compelled to share these strategies with those who seek to develop their unique potential and free themselves from trauma and conditioned belief systems that are no longer serving them.

WHAT IS TRAUMA-INFORMED COACHING?
Trauma-informed coaching is an approach that recognizes and addresses the impact of trauma on individuals. IS DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL COACHING FOR ME?

DBT is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on teaching skills to help individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships and cope with distress. WHY IS REWIRING THE BRAIN NECESSARY?
Using proven techniques that focus on the body-brain connection and influence neuroplasticity and neurogenesis, an individual can experience profound personal and social transformation. From learning how to create new neural pathways that align with one’s desired goals and values, to improving and enhancing cognitive function, neuroplasticity allows for adaptability. This practice also helps the individual to recover from brain injuries or conditions affecting the brain.

With over a decade of hands-on experience assisting those in crisis, I have created a coaching approach to help the individual live a life of passion and purpose. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Capella University, as well as several certifications in coaching, neuropsychology and trauma-informed methods. This isn't just a job for me - it's a calling. I keep up to date with the latest research and trainings to ensure you're getting evidence-based care.
Completed formal training in coaching various techniques in relation to development, setting goals, overcoming challenges and maintaining wellness. I am positioned to help clients overcome challenges toward motivation and fostering positive change using strategies such as value determination, self-awareness, changing negative self-talk, and more.
The neuropsychotherapy courses have provided instruction on the integration of neuroscience and psychotherapy. This includes understanding the brain’s role in emotional and psychological processes and the neurobiology of emotions in regard to the brain-body connection, nervous system regulation and more. I incorporate these therapeutic practices for improved mental health outcomes.
This certification provided instruction on the impact of trauma on individuals and has expanded my understanding of various types of trauma, symptom recognition, and empathic development. I employ techniques that prioritize safety and empowerment in a non-judgemental environment based on relational, body-aware mindfulness.
